About

Doc4Docs is written by Kruno Golubić, a Croatian IT professional based in Zagreb with 25 years of experience across technical writing, developer advocacy, and software development.

Kruno has worked as a technical writer embedded in engineering teams, as a developer advocate, and has spoken at Write the Docs conferences. He spent years at Memgraph, where he was the first technical writer the engineering team had ever worked with — a situation that taught him as much about documentation culture as about documentation itself.

What this site is about

Every product that has users has a documentation problem. Most teams know it. Few treat it as the discipline it actually is.

Doc4Docs is about the practice of writing documentation: what makes it work, what makes it fail, and how to think about it as a craft rather than a chore. The posts cover documentation strategy, structure, tools, and the human side of getting engineers to care.

The name works two ways. “Doc for docs” — a site about documentation. And “doctor for documentation” — every product with poor docs has a diagnosable problem and a treatment plan.

The tools behind this site

Doc4Docs runs on Astro with the AstroPaper theme, written in Markdown, versioned with Git, and deployed via GitHub. It follows the same docs-as-code principles the blog writes about.
